- American Journal of Distance Education
(AJDE) offers three issues per year; Created to disseminate information and act
as a forum for criticism and debate about research and practice of distance education
in the Americas.
- The Association for Learning Technology
Journal (now in its 14th volume) covers distance learning and all forms of
learning technology.
- Australian Journal of
Educational Technology (AJET): A refereed journal publishing research and
review articles in educational technology, instructional design, educational applications
of computer technologies, educational telecommunications and related areas. AJET
is published in three issues per year.
- ECAR publications:
ECAR is the research arm of Educause, North America's premier information and
learning technology organization focused on higher education. The site requires
registration, but if your institution is a member, all students, faculty and staff
can access these publications.

- International Review of
Open and Distance Learning.
- The International Journal of Distance Education,
published by the Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia: This journal
is often referred to by the abbreviated title "Distance Education."
- Interactive Multimedia Electronic Journal
of Computer-Enhanced Learning (IMEJ), first published online in 1999. The
goals of IMEJ are to provide a peer-reviewed forum for innovations in computer-enhanced
learning, to serve as a model and testbed for an electronic journal with a high
level of multimedia and interactivity, and to advance the acceptance of electronic
publication as a legitimate and valuable form of academic discourse.
- International Journal of Educational
Technology (IJET): A new international refereed journal in the field of educational
technology, sponsored by faculty, staff, and students at The Graduate School of
Education at the University of Western Australia and the College of Education
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. IJET is published twice each
year and is available online.

- Journal of Library Services
for Distance Education (JSLDE): Published by the State University of West
Georgia, JSLDE is a peer-reviewed e-journal. International in scope, this scholarly
e-journal will publish refereed articles focusing on the issues and challenges
of providing research/information services to students enrolled in formal, post-secondary
distance education. It will particularly strive to meet the continuing education
needs of practitioners by providing a forum for the discussion of extended learning
policies and practices, and trends in information technology as they impact the
delivery of library services for distance learners and faculty.
